Cost & Fees

How Much Does Cost Segregation Cost?

Our fee for the allocation estimate is based upon a fixed fee proposal. The proposal is determined upon the information you provide us (completed pre-engagement checklist, blueprints, appraisal, etc.).

The cost of completing the allocation estimate is determined by the project scope and the complexity of the service and is never based upon what is realized.

For example, a $200,000 one story facility, single tenant facility located on a half acre is going to be less expensive than a $4,000,000 multi-story 2,500 unit apartment complex on ten acres with ten different apartment floor plans.

Blueprints

Note that the cost of completing an engineered estimate without the blueprints is slightly more expensive than finishing the project with blueprints. If the blueprints cannot be located, the allocation estimate will have to have a more extensive detailed site visit by taking measurements and quantifying assets at the project site in order to create all necessary documentation for the audit trail.

Site Visit Expenses

The site visit, whether you have blueprints or not, is an additional cost and will be shown on the proposal  (vehicle, air flight, meals, hotel (if required)).

If your project is newly constructed with good building permit drawings, if desired, you can complete the site visit to save the travel expenses; Cost Segregation Engineering will guide you remotely based on these drawings.
